corona - Copy (2)A World Health Organization report says the number of cases for the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS) is increasing. According to the Saudi Gazette, “The latest developments boost Saudi Arabia’s MERS totals to 1,223 cases, 520 of them fatal [since 2012].”

Several Socionomist studies have shown a clear link between stock market performance and the timing of epidemics. The Saudi stock market has declined a precipitous 59 percent from its 2006 peak high. Why is this important?
