A renowned Manhattan street is scheduled to get something it hasn’t had in 40 years: a new office building. According to a January 30 Bloomberg article, plans have been made to demolish an existing building at 425 Park Avenue and replace it with a skyscraper that’s more than twice as tall. Bloomberg cited Lawrence Longua, a retired real estate professor at New York University, who noted that the existing market for the new skyscraper may not exist when it’s completed.
