Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and a group of Nobel Laureates have signed a letter urging President Obama to reject permissions for the Keystone XL tar sands oil pipeline, which would run from Alberta, Canada all the way down to Texas. President Carter’s objection stems from environmental concerns. But Canada and much of the U.S. want it for the jobs it creates.
