Migrant-FranceAs markets flounder in Greece and France, so does the two countries’ openness toward outsiders. Greece has built an eight-mile fence along its border with Turkey to keep migrants out. And, an October 4 article in The New York Times said 60 Syrians stranded in France were asking for asylum in Britain. The coordinator of a migrant services program noted that the refugees had “not had a warm welcome in France.”
