A member of Golden Dawn, Greece’s Neo-Fascist party, has allegedly murdered leftist hip-hop rapper Pavlos Fissas. Fissas was critical of the fascist party, and in times of peak negative social mood, criticism can be fatal. Greece’s stock market is down 88% over five years, evidencing the deteriorating social mood there. As of this writing, angry protesters had attacked Golden Dawn’s offices in Chania and Patras with rocks and molotov cocktails. Stress in Greece has steadily built over years of declining social mood, and these events could be the catalyst of a bigger tragedy.
