Social Mood Conference  |  Socionomics Foundation

May 28, 2013

A May 17 MarketWatch article by Brett Arends, a Dow Jones columnist, tells this year’s college graduates, “You’ve been scammed.” Arends says that based on inflation-adjusted dollars, members of the Class of 2013 paid three times as much for their degrees as people who graduated 30 years ago. He added, “There’s no evidence that you have received a degree three times as good. Some would wonder if you have received a degree even one times as good.” Higher education’s image is shifting.
