45,000 pounds of sugar dumped in Times Square. That’s how the KIND snack bar company chose to raise awareness about how much of the sweet stuff American children eat every 5 minutes. Further down the East Coast, a Florida state representative filed a bill to prohibit people from buying sugar-laden soft drinks with food stamps.
